On Monday, August 18, 2025, at approximately 4:23 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian on a scooter in the 10600 block of North FM 620. The driver remained at the scene, was not impaired, and cooperated with the investigation. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 65th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 69 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 56 fatal crashes resulted in 60 deaths.
