Suspect (Arrested): Jesse Carrillo, Hispanic male, 33 years of age
On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, following a prolonged investigation into drug trafficking and distribution in Austin, the Austin Police Department Narcotics Support Unit executed a search warrant at a residence located at 91 Red River Street.
The investigation, which focused on activity within the Downtown Area Command and East Austin, identified Jesse Carrillo as a suspect in the case. Detectives obtained the warrant and conducted the search, which resulted in Carrillo’s arrest for Money Laundering, a Second-Degree Felony, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a First-Degree Felony.
During the search, detectives seized the following items:
- 20.4 pounds of marijuana
- 194 THC vape cartridges
- 2,900 grams of suspected psilocybin-laced candy bars
- 8.6 grams of cocaine
- Over $200,000 in U.S. currency
Carrillo was taken into custody without incident. At this time, additional felony charges are pending as the investigation continues.
