Time:  9:45 a.m. and 6:37 p.m.

Location:  7301 S. IH 35 SVRD NB (The Bennett Apartments)

Austin Police (APD) Commercial Burglary detectives are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying the suspect pictured below. The suspect was involved in two Burglary of Non-Residence incidents and may have been involved in other offenses related to property crime.
 
At this time, detectives are investigating two incidents at the Bennett Apartments located at 7301 S. IH 35 SVRD NB. The first incident occurred on Saturday, October 1, 2025, at 9:45 a.m., and the second incident occurred on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 6:37 p.m. In both incidents, the suspect made entry into the apartment complex without authorization. While on the premises, the suspect entered the mail room and stole a large number of residents’ packages. This has created a number of challenges for both residents and the apartment complex.
 
The suspect is described as:

• Black male
• Young in age
• Heavy build
• Medium length dreadlocks with tight curls
• “R” tattoo on his left hand near the bottom of his thumb
