Austin Police (APD) detectives are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying multiple male suspects involved in an assault that occurred on Saturday, November 29, 2025, following the University of Texas (UT) vs. Texas A&M football game.
The incident took place around 1:30 a.m. in the 6th Street Entertainment District, where multiple suspects confronted two male victims in their early 20s dressed in Texas A&M clothing. The altercation began when one of the suspects displayed a "Hook ‘Em Horns" hand gesture toward the victims, who responded by flipping the gesture a common sign of rivalry among fans. This interaction escalated quickly as the suspects initiated a physical assault, resulting in minor injuries to both victims. Neither of the victims were transported to the hospital.
One of the victims was able to capture pictures of two of the suspects; however, due to the significant disturbances throughout the night and the density of the crowd, there is no available surveillance footage of this specific incident.
While multiple suspects participated in the assault, only two were photographed. Below are the images and descriptions of these two suspects:
Suspect #1
- Black male
- Mid 20s
- Short black curly hair
- Small build
Suspect #2:
- White male

- Medium build
There are no leads at this time on the four suspects, and we have no further information to share.
