Suspect (Arrested): Edwin Vargas-Garzon, White male, 48 years of age

On November 2, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a reported sexual assault occurred at a spa business located at 11011 Domain Drive. The victim came forward a few days after the incident, identifying the suspect as Edwin Vargas-Garzon, a massage therapist employed at the establishment.

Following a thorough investigation by Austin Police (APD) detectives, the suspect, Edwin Vargas-Garzon, was arrested on February 7, 2026, and now faces charges of Sexual Assault. During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered potential additional incidents involving the suspect at multiple massage therapy establishments across the Austin area and surrounding communities.

APD detectives urge anyone who may have been victimized by Edwin Vargas-Garzon at any of the aforementioned locations to come forward and contact the APD Sexual Crimes Unit at (512) 974-5095 or via email at Sex.Crimes@austintexas.gov. 

It is important to note that speaking with APD is voluntary, and support services are available through our Victim Services Unit regardless of an individual's decision to participate in the investigation. For assistance, individuals can contact APD Victim Services at (512) 974-5037.
