AUSTIN, TX – The City of Austin Housing Department has published its Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Annual Report, providing a look at the year’s efforts to expand affordable housing opportunities for low-income households, create income-restricted housing, bring more permanent supportive housing (PSH) units online, and connect the community to housing resources.

Austin City Manager, T.C. Broadnax, notes, “The City of Austin understands that affordability and housing remain a top concern for neighborhoods across all 10 districts. We continue to prioritize equitable, long-lasting service to our community to enhance the quality of life of all Austinites.”

Housing Priorities

  • Helping Austinites Stay in Austin
  • Creating More Affordable Housing
  • Supporting Project Connect
  • Funding Our Work

“The Housing Department celebrated an impactful year with the opening of thousands of new affordable housing units and expanding the reach of supportive programs to keep residents in their homes,” explains Mandy DeMayo, Interim Director for the Housing Department. “We are grateful for partnerships in development and non-profit support that help us ensure Austinites have access to one of life’s most fundamental needs – a safe place to call home.”
