APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to an Aggravated Assault Investigation

On June 3, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Austin Police Department (APD) Officers responded to an emergency service call located at Saint David’s South Austin Hospital. The hospital called 9-1-1 advising they had a victim of an assault that was brought into the hospital. The victim had significant life-threatening injuries. Witnesses informed investigators they located the victim in a homeless encampment in the 1000 block of West Ben White Boulevard. Witnesses escorted the victim to the hospital and are unsure of how, or when, the victim was assaulted.

Aggravated Assault detectives and crimes scene specialists responded to process the scene. During the course of the investigation, information was gathered by investigators that one or more suspects in the Aggravated Assault may frequent the area of the homeless encampment in the 1000 block of West Ben White Boulevard.
