The Austin Police (APD) Aggravated Assault Unit is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect in connection to an aggravated assault investigation.
 
On March 10, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., APD officers responded to reports of a male with a knife threatening someone around the area of Goodrich Avenue and South Lamar Boulevard. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived, but he was seen on Ring camera footage before the incident.
 
The suspect is described as:

  • Shaggy hair
  • He was last seen carrying a backpack and walking with a bike by his side
