The Austin Police (APD) Aggravated Assault Unit is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect in connection to an aggravated assault investigation.
On Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 10:48 p.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to reports of Shots Fired in the 5300 block of King Henry Drive. When officers arrived on the scene, they located multiple victims and several homes that had been struck by gunfire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. According to witnesses, a white sedan drove through the neighborhood and opened fire on a group of people gathered outside a residence. Witnesses reported that the vehicle initially drove by the group before returning to the area, at which point shots were fired. Investigators believe there may have been as many as five occupants inside the vehicle, and at least two suspects exited or leaned from the vehicle to shoot. APD detectives believe the suspect vehicle to be a white 2019 Nissan Sentra. The suspects were described as Black males wearing ski masks. Detectives believe this shooting may be connected to a homicide that occurred in the 10900 block of Brazoria Lane approximately two hours later.
