APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to Auto Theft, Failure to Give Information and Render Aid Collision

The Austin Police (APD) Highway Enforcement Investigation Unit is requesting the public’s help with identifying a suspect in connection to a stolen vehicle and a Failure to Give Information and Render Aid Collision that occurred on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at approximately 4 p.m., in the intersection of Stonleigh Place & Blue Meadow Drive.
 
The driver of the stolen vehicle drove southbound on Stoneleigh Place, disregarded a stop sign, and crashed with another vehicle. After the collision, the suspect fled the scene on foot and did not stop and render aid as required by Texas Transportation Code.

The stolen vehicle was equipped with a dashboard camera, which captured the photos of the suspect.

Suspect 26-0900964
  • White or Hispanic male
  • 20 to 30 years of age
  • Dark hair
  • Goatee

Anyone with any information may submit a tip anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
