Austin Police (APD) Highway Enforcement Detectives are requesting the public’s help with identifying a suspect in connection to a Collision Involving Bodily Injury that occurred on Monday, January 16, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., in the intersection of E. Cesar Chavez Street & Attayac Street.
 
The victim’s vehicle was rear-ended by the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle left the scene without calling 9-1-1 or exchanging information. The victim suffered minor injuries and was not transported to a hospital.
 
Suspect vehicle description:

  • Pickup truck
  • Dark blue or black color
  • LED headlights
  • Newer model
