Austin Police (APD) Highway Enforcement Investigations Unit Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect in connection to a Collision Involving Injury case.
 
The collision occurred on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at approximately 12:21 p.m., in the 400 block of Bastrop Highway SB. The driver of the suspect vehicle left the scene after the collision. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS).
 
The suspect driver is described as:

  • Hispanic male
  • He was last seen wearing a long sleeve t-shirt, a baseball cap, and sunglasses.

The suspect vehicle is described as:

  • Toyota Celica
  • 2001
  • White in color
