APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to a Collision Involving Personal Injury

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at around 9:04 a.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a crash in the 9000 block of Research Boulevard. Officers arrived at the scene and located one vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle reported that the second vehicle had left the scene.
 
One of the passengers of the vehicle reported minor injuries.

APD Highway Enforcement Detectives are requesting the public's assistance with identifying the person that was driving the jeep at the time of the crash.

The suspect is described as:

  • Hispanic male
  • Short curly black hair
  • Approximately 40 to 50 years of age
  • About 5’10” tall

The suspect vehicle is described as:

25-2940285-vehicle
  • Jeep
  • Two doors
  • Dark in color
  • “DON’T DO IT” text on the driver’s front side
