APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to a Collision Involving Personal Injury

The Austin Police Department (APD) Leaving the Scene Unit is requesting the public’s help with identifying a suspect vehicle in connection to a Collision Involving Personal Injury that involved the suspect vehicle and a victim riding a bicycle.
 
The incident occurred on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at around 10:30 p.m., near East 53rd 1/2 Street and Airport Boulevard. The victim was riding through the crosswalk with the “walk” sign illuminated when the crash happened. The driver of the suspect vehicle left the scene and did not stop to render aid or call 911. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

 The suspect is described as:

  • Hispanic male
  • Approximately 30s years of age
  • Approximately 5’9” tall
  • 165 lbs.

The suspect vehicle is described as:

  • Possibly a Subaru Forrester
  • SUV
  • Four-door
  • Dark in color
