The Austin Police (APD) Highway Enforcement Investigations Unit is requesting the public’s assistance with information regarding a Collision Involving Serious Bodily Injury that occurred on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at approximately 2 a.m. near the intersection of Congress Avenue and 5th Street.
 
The victim was on a bicycle riding southbound on Congress Avenue and was hit by an unknown vehicle that left the scene immediately after the collision. The victim sought medical attention on his own and sustained non-life threatening serious bodily injury.
