APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to a Copper Theft Case

The Austin Police (APD) is requesting the public's help with identifying a suspect in connection to a copper theft case that occurred in a construction site at 1125 Shady Lane on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at approximately 4:20 a.m. The suspect, whose photo and description are included in this release, was seen stealing copper metal from the site.
 
The location has been victimized by copper thieves 8 times since March 30th, 2026.
