APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to Credit Card Abuse

Location:  30 S IH 35 (Chevron) and 2508 E Riverside Drive (HEB)
 
The Austin Police Department (APD) is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect who was seen on Sunday, May 4, 2025, using a credit card that did not belong to him on two separate occasions. The suspect used the credit card at the Chevron located at 30 South IH-35, and a second time at the HEB located at 2508 East Riverside Drive.
 
The credit card belonged to the victim of a vehicle burglary that occurred at 54 East Avenue earlier that same day.
 
The suspect is described as:

  • Black male
  • Early 30s
  • Heavy set
  • Thin mustache
  • He was last seen wearing a Michael Kors shirt, acid washed jeans, and a Houston Astro’s hat.

Anyone with any information may submit a tip anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
