APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to a Criminal Mischief Incident

The Austin Police Department (APD) is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a criminal mischief case stemming from a road rage incident that occurred in the 5900 block of N IH 35, on Monday, April 21, 2025, at approximately 5:36 p.m.
 
The suspect stopped in the lane of travel, exited his vehicle, damaged the victim’s car, and caused damage of several thousand dollars. The suspect hit the victim’s vehicle and attempted to open the door.
 
The suspect is described as:

  • Hispanic male
  • 40 years of age
  • Thin build
  • May frequent the North Austin area
  • Bald or shaved head due to wearing a backwards red baseball cap

 
The suspect vehicle is described as:

25-1111008-Suspect-7
  • GMC
  • Envoy
  • 2002
  • Green in color
  • A POW MIA cap on the dashboard
  • A large crack in the front windshield and hail damage all over the vehicle
  • The vehicle also has a Houston Texans trailer hitch cover.
