APD Detectives Search for Suspect in Connection to a Robbery by Assault

The Austin Police (APD) Robbery Unit is requesting the community’s assistance with identifying a suspect involved in a robbery that occurred at 911 East Cesar Chavez Street on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. An adult male robbed the business and fled on foot. This suspect was also responsible for a theft at the same location ten days prior to the incident.

The suspect is described as:

• Black male
• 20-30 years of age
• Athletic build
• Short, black hair
• Last seen wearing black sleeveless shirt with white and pink logo on the back, gray pants, red Nike Foamposite shoes, and a gray/black backpack
