APD Detectives Search for a Suspect in Connection to Stealing and Breaking Merchandise

The Austin Police Department (APD) is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a man suspected of stealing multiple liquor bottles and then returning a second time and destroying merchandise on Monday, June 16, 2025, at around 4:30 p.m.  
 
When the suspect tried stealing liquor bottles on the second occasion, the managers confronted the suspect and took the merchandise from him. The suspect then pushed multiple bottles off the counter and caused them to break.

The suspect is described as a:

  • Black male
  • Mid 20s years of age
  • Beard extending along the jaw and chin, with no mustache.
  • He was last seen wearing beige shorts, black t-shirt

Anyone with any information may submit a tip anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
