APD Detectives Search for Three Suspects in Connection to an Aggravated Assault

The Austin Police (APD) Aggravated Assault Unit is requesting the public's help in identifying three suspects connected to an Aggravated Assault that occurred on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

At 1:19 a.m., APD officers responded to reports of a Disturbance at Lowdown Lounge located at 1412 East 6th Street. The call text stated that a male had been assaulted and was bleeding from the head. When officers arrived on the scene, they located an adult male victim with wounds to his head. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates that three males, without provocation, began assaulting three other males inside the bar. As a result of the attack, one of the victims sustained serious bodily injury. APD is releasing video footage of the assault in the hope that members of the community can assist in identifying the suspects. The video footage can be found here.

Suspect #1 is described as:

• Black male
• Heavy set
• Approximately 6’0” tall
• Black, thick beard
• Thick dreadlocks
• Last seen wearing a green jacket and a white shirt

Suspect #2 is described as:

• Black male
• Braided hair
• Last seen wearing a black and white shirt with white lettering

Suspect #3 is described as:

• Black male
• Approximately 6'6" tall
• Last seen wearing a black hoodie

At this time, there has been no suspect identified or arrest made in relation to this incident. Detectives believe that there may be more witnesses to the incident, and are encouraging anyone with photos, videos, or other potential evidence to share them with APD.
