The Austin Police (APD) Robbery Unit is requesting the community’s assistance with identifying two suspects involved in an aggravated robbery in the 80 block of Rainey Street on Sunday July 26, 2026. An adult male was robbed and shot multiple times, resulting in serious, but non-life-threatening, injury.

Detectives are asking for help identifying the suspects, and are requesting information from anyone who was in the area that night or those with knowledge of the incident. Anyone with photos, videos, or other potential evidence is requested to share them with APD.

Suspect #1 is described as:

  • Hispanic Male
  • Medium build
  • Mid to late teens
  • Black wavy hair
  • Last seen wearing black t-shirt with white emblem on front left, gray pants, white shoes, and possibly wearing prescription eye glasses

Suspect #2 is described as:

  • Tall
  • Skinny build
  • Mid to late teens
  • Short black hair
  • Last seen wearing a black t-shirt with short sleeves, gray undershirt, gray pants, and gray slides
