APD Detectives Seeking the Public's Assistance in Identifying a Robbery Suspect

The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is requesting public assistance with identifying a male suspect involved in an aggravated robbery that occurred at 3132 E. State Hwy 71 on Friday, May 9th at 8:45 p.m.

The suspect, whose description and photo are provided below, approached the victim and stole the truck (also shown below) while armed with a handgun. It is believed that the suspect is active in the car club community, and took the stolen dually truck to multiple meetups. At one of these meetups, which occurred near the 4800 block of Distribution Drive on May 12, 2025, the suspect crashed the truck and subsequently left it abandoned in the area.

  • · 20-30 years of age
  • · Approximately 5' 6” tall
  • · Medium build


The suspect was last seen wearing:

  • ·Maroon and gray hooded sweatshirt
  • · Dark pants
  • · Suspected to be armed with a pistol
