The Austin Police Department (APD) Missing Persons Unit requests the public’s help with locating 62-year-old, Ernest Amaro. Mr. Amaro was last seen on Friday, April 18, 2025, at approximately 5 p.m., in the 6100 block of Perlita Drive.
 
Detectives are worried for Mr. Amaro’s well-being due to health concerns.
 
Ernest Amaro is described as:

  • Black and gray hair
  • Gray mustache and beard
  • Brown eyes
  • 62 years of age
  • 5’4” tall
  • 155 lbs.

  • He was last seen wearing an orange University of Texas shirt, black shorts, gray hat, carrying a dark gray backpack, dark sneakers with white soles, and a black knee brace.
