APD Seeking the Public's Assistance in Identifying a Robbery Suspect

Date: Thursday, May 8, 2025
Time: Between 8 – 8:15 p.m.
Location: Capital Metro Bus stop – 6010 E Riverside Drive
The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery. The suspect, whose description and photos are included below, demanded the victim’s cell phone and assaulted the victim when he was denied.
The suspect is described as:
- Black male
- 20-30 years of age
- Thin build
- Short black hair
- Distinctive scar on left side of face that went from cheek to mouth
The suspect was last seen wearing:
- Blue hat with Nike swoosh centered
- Light colored shirt
- Black pants
- Necklace with large pendant
- Patterned face mask

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
