Austin Police Detectives Seek Public Help to Identify Package Theft Suspect

The Austin Police (APD) Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is requesting public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a series of package thefts from various FedEx holding locations throughout the Austin area.
 
The suspect, whose description and photos are included below, has presented false identification displaying the names of the victims to collect multiple packages, with a total value exceeding $130,000.
 
APD detectives believe the suspect may be receiving insider information about the contents, tracking numbers, or locations of these targeted, high-value packages.

Suspect is described as:

  • White or Hispanic male
  • Mid-to-late 40s
  • Heavyset build
  • He was last seen wearing a light-colored collared shirt, Kangol style or athletic style hat and wire rimmed glasses.
