Austin Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Suspect in Fraudulent Bank Account Attempt

Austin Police is asking for the public's help in identifying a male suspect who attempted to open a bank account and secure a line of credit using fraudulent documents, including a fictitious ID, at Texas Health Credit Union located at 4800 Grover Avenue. This incident occurred over two separate days.
During the suspect's attempts, vigilant staff members became suspicious of his activities. In the last attempt, as the suspect exited the bank, a Travis County Deputy Constable was present outside, prompting the suspect to flee the scene.
Detectives are currently investigating how the suspect obtained the victim's personal identifying information.
The suspect is described as:
- Black male
- In his early 30s
- Medium build
- Tall
- Goatee
- Black shoulder-length braided hair, with a receding hairline
