Deceased victim:  Joshua Williams, Black male, 6/23/1990
 
On Friday, April 3, 2026, at approximately 12:42 a.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a Shots Fired call 10900 block of Brazoria Lane. The caller reported her boyfriend had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located a subject, later identified as Joshua Williams, with apparent gunshot wounds. Mr. Williams was pronounced deceased on scene at 1:09 a.m.
 
Homicide detectives and crime scene specialists responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.

Detectives are requesting for neighbors to share any video footage in the neighborhood between 11:30 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. At this time, the direction of travel is unknown, and it is possible the person(s) responsible drove around the neighborhood when attempting to leave.
