Homicide Investigation in the 2400 block of Ashdale Drive

Deceased suspect:  Enrique Zamora-Rosario, Hispanic male, 12/15/2006
 
On Monday, June 9, 2025, at approximately 8:23 p.m., Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) and Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to 2425 Ashdale Drive for the call of check welfare. The caller was a family member of the primary resident who resided there with his granddaughter Elizabeth Martinets. APD officers arrived to find two clearly deceased individuals in one of the condominium bedrooms. The decedents were identified as Elizabeth Martinets and her boyfriend Enrique Zamora-Rosario. Both were pronounced deceased on scene at 8:43pm.
 
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The investigation is still in its preliminary stages but investigators believe that Enrique Zamora-Rosario shot and killed his girlfriend Elizabeth and then killed himself.
