Homicide Investigation in the 4400 block of Pack Saddle Pass

Victim (Deceased):  Duc Vo, Asian male, 03/20/1967

On Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 12:26 p.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a call that reported a body found in a trash can in the 4400 block of Pack Saddle Pass. When officers arrived on the scene, they located the victim, later identified as Duc Vo, with visible trauma and clearly deceased. He was pronounced deceased at 1:26 p.m. 

APD Homicide Detectives and Austin Forensic Science Crime Scene Specialists responded to the scene. Detectives confirmed with city employees that they were emptying a trash can when they discovered the victim, who appeared to be bloody. The victim showed signs of blunt force trauma, and the investigation remains ongoing. At this time, detectives believe Mr. Vo was assaulted and placed into the trash can on Friday, May 29, between the hours of 4 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.

This case is being investigated as Austin's 26th homicide of 2026.
