Victim (Deceased):  Minor Garcia, Hispanic male, 07/07/2000

On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 5:42 p.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a report of a deceased person inside a vehicle at 6700 Bolm Road. Officers contacted the complainant, who led them to a truck located in a wooded area near an embankment. Inside the vehicle, officers found an adult Hispanic male who was clearly deceased. He was identified as Minor Garcia and was pronounced deceased at 6:24 p.m.

APD Homicide Detectives and Austin Forensic Science Crime Scene Specialists responded to the scene. The investigation has determined that Garcia was fatally shot and left inside the truck before the suspects left the area.

Detectives are requesting information from anyone who was in the area that night or those with knowledge of the incident. Anyone with photos, videos, or other potential evidence is requested to share them with APD. You may submit materials by clicking here or scanning the QR code below:
