Victim (Deceased):  Antonio Cleveland Jr., Black male, 8/20/2007

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, at approximately 11:48 p.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to reports of a shooting outside Otro Pedo Sports Bar located at 900 East Braker Lane. 9-1-1 callers indicated that two individuals were shot.

When APD officers arrived, they found two victims and began medical intervention. One of the victims, identified as Antonio Cleveland, was located on the sidewalk just outside the sports bar. Both injured individuals were transported to a local hospital. One victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while Mr. Cleveland was pronounced deceased at the hospital at 12:29 a.m.

APD Homicide Detectives and Austin Forensic Science Crime Scene Specialists responded to the scene. The preliminary investigation indicates that Mr. Cleveland and another male were shot in the parking lot of the sports bar by an unidentified suspect, who then fled the scene. The motive behind the altercation that led to the shooting remains unclear, and no suspects have been identified at this time.
