Homicide Investigation at 9106 North Intestate 35 SB

Victim (Deceased):  Se Hun Park, Asian male, 9/7/1969

Suspect (Arrested): Sean Walton, Hispanic male, 24 years of age
 
On Friday, May 8, 2026, at 7:32 p.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a shooting at the Budget Inn, located at 9106 North IH 35 SB. A caller reported that a person had been shot at the front desk of the business. When officers arrived, they found the victim, Se Hun, unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his chest. Se Hun was transported to a local hospital for immediate treatment.

Detectives from the Aggravated Assault unit and APD’s Crime Scene Unit Specialists responded to process the crime scene. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, later identified as Sean Walton, got into a verbal argument with Se Hun. Walton then pulled out a firearm and shot Se Hun.
 
Walton was seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle. An arrest warrant for Walton was obtained and several units within APD and other partner agencies worked diligently to locate and arrest Walton. On May 10, Walton was arrested in Cibolo, Texas, by officers with the Cibolo Police Department.

On Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 6:48 p.m., Se Hun succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
 
Walton is currently still in police custody in Guadalupe County.
