On May 11,2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) Officers responded to the 12100 block of Metric Blvd. for a motorcycle collision. This collision did not involve any other vehicles. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Later, the motorcyclist who was identified as Enrique A. Torres was pronounced deceased on May 14, 2025.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 29th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 33 fatalities. This investigation is ongoing. On the date of this crash in 2024, fatal crashes resulted in 34 deaths.
