On Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 12:30 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a collision involving two motor vehicles and a pedestrian in the 13000 block of N IH35 NB SVRD. A pickup truck collided with a pedestrian, followed by a sedan. The pedestrian, later identified as Edward Walker, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The drivers of the motor vehicles remained on the scene, were not impaired, and cooperated with the investigation. 

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 48th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 52 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 37 fatal crashes resulted in 38 deaths.
