On Friday, July 25, 2025, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian in the 1400 block of Wells Branch Parkway. The vehicle driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. The pedestrian was pronounced at the scene.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 53rd fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 57 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 44 fatal crashes resulted in 47 deaths.
