On Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 2:10 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a Crash Hotshot call in the 1900 block of East Braker Lane. The caller stated that there had been a crash and someone was seriously injured. When officers arrived on the scene, they located a single motorcycle driver that had been involved in a collision. The unidentified driver was pronounced deceased on the scene at 2:28 a.m.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 57th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 61 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 47 fatal crashes resulted in 50 deaths.
