On Saturday, November 22, 2025, at approximately 2:37 p.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to the 2800 block of West Parmer Lane for a multi-vehicle crash involving four vehicles. The driver of one of the vehicles, later identified as Larissa Herold, was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased. The other drivers and passengers involved were either not injured or sustained only minor injuries.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 85th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 89 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 79 fatal crashes resulted in 84 deaths. These statements are from the initial assessment of the fatal crash, and the investigation is still pending. Fatality information may change.
