On May 4, 2025, at approximately 12:59 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) Officers responded to a single crash in the 4600 Block of E William Cannon Dr. The driver was taken to a local hospital where was later pronounced deceased on May 17, 2025.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 33rd fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 37 fatalities. This investigation is ongoing. On the date of this crash in 2024, 24 fatal crashes resulted in 24 deaths.
