Traffic Fatality in the 700 block of West Longspur Boulevard

On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at approximately 1:58 p.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a collision that involved a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 700 block of West Longspur Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, was not intoxicated, and is cooperating with the investigation. The pedestrian, an unidentified Hispanic male, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
 
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 79th fatal crash of 2026, resulting in 81 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2025, 81 fatal crashes resulted in 85 deaths.
