On Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 5:33 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a single vehicle collision in the 7000 block of Crystalbrook Drive. The driver, later identified as Eddy Pena Delarosa, was pronounced deceased on the scene.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 47th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 51 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 34 fatal crashes resulted in 35 deaths.
