On Wednesday October 14, 2026, at approximately 12:56 a.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a report of an unresponsive person involved in a possible auto-pedestrian collision in the 8700 block of North Lamar Boulevard. The victim, an unidentified male, was found in the parking lot and was pronounced deceased on scene.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 67th fatal crash of 2026, resulting in 68 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2025, 77 fatal crashes resulted in 81 deaths.
