On Sunday, March 29, 2026, at approximately 6:42 a.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a multi-vehicle collision in the southbound lanes of the 9400 block of N US Highway 183. The incident involved a motorcycle. The rider, an unidentified male, was pronounced deceased on scene. All drivers involved remained at the scene and are cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 19th fatal crash of 2026, resulting in 19 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2025, 20 fatal crashes resulted in 24 deaths.
