On Saturday, October 10, 2026, at approximately 2:11 a.m., Austin Police officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of East Anderson Lane Service Road Eastbound and Cameron Road. The driver of one vehicle, later identified as Yasel Rodriguez Girado, was pronounced deceased on scene following life-saving efforts by Austin Fire (AFD) and Austin /Travis County Emergency Medical Services (A/TCEMS).

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 64th fatal crash of 2026, resulting in 65 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2025, 75 fatal crashes resulted in 79 deaths.
