On Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 1:13 a.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a single motorcycle collision in the intersection of East Parmer Lane and North IH-35 SVRD NB. The driver of the motorcycle, later identified as Anthony Michael Raya, was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 33rd fatal crash of 2026, resulting in 33 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2025, 38 fatal crashes resulted in 42 deaths.
