On Sunday, October 4, 2026, Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of Lake Creek Parkway and Pecan Park Boulevard. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the vehicle was not found to be impaired and is cooperating with the investigation. 
 
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 63rd fatal crash of 2026, resulting in 64 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2025, 75 fatal crashes resulted in 79 deaths.
