UPDATE: APD Detectives Release Images of a Person of Interest in Connection to a Homicide Investigation. This person of interest is believed to be a dark-skinned male, with short dreadlocks. He appears to be wearing white shoes, light colored blue jeans and a long sleeve black shirt with a large white “S” or possibly a dollar sign on the front.

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, at approximately 12:29 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers and Austin-Travis County EMS responded to a call that reported a subject bleeding on the ground at the Apple Mart gas station, located at 2101 Wickersham Lane. Officers arrived at the scene and found an unidentified male on the ground with trauma to his neck. The male, later identified as Keaton Delcore, was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 1 a.m. 
 
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The initial investigation showed that Mr. Delcore approached an unidentified male and had an interaction with him in the Apple Mart parking lot. The unidentified male then shot Mr. Delcore and left the area.
