UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Connection to an Aggravated Robbery

Arrested: Bryan Andrew Bouray, White male, 20 years of age

The Austin Police (APD) Robbery and Violent Crimes Task Force Units are announcing the arrest of the suspect involved in the shooting on Rainey Street that occurred on July 26, 2026.

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, members of the APD Robbery and Violent Crimes Task Force Units conducted an arrest/search warrant operation, arresting Bryan Bouray for the Aggravated Robbery that occurred on Rainey Street on July 26, 2026. He was charged with Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon. Multiple pieces of evidence, to include a firearm, were recovered during the operation.

Following further investigation, detectives determined that the individual previously identified as Suspect #1 was not involved in the robbery or the shooting and has been determined to be a witness in this case only. As a result, detectives are no longer seeking information regarding his identity or involvement.

The Austin Police (APD) Robbery Unit is requesting the community’s assistance with identifying two suspects involved in an aggravated robbery in the 80 block of Rainey Street on Sunday July 26, 2026. An adult male was robbed and shot multiple times, resulting in serious, but non-life-threatening, injury.

Detectives are asking for help identifying the suspects, and are requesting information from anyone who was in the area that night or those with knowledge of the incident. Anyone with photos, videos, or other potential evidence is requested to share them with APD.

Suspect #1 is described as:

• Hispanic Male
• Medium build
• Mid to late teens
• Black wavy hair
• Last seen wearing black t-shirt with white emblem on front left, gray pants, white shoes, and possibly wearing prescription eye glasses

Suspect #2 is described as:

• Hispanic Male
• Tall
• Skinny build
• Mid to late teens
• Short black hair
• Last seen wearing a black t-shirt with short sleeves, gray undershirt, gray pants, and gray slides
