About ACE

Who we are

The Austin Center for Events (ACE) coordinates the permitting of special events for the City of Austin. ACE is governed by Chapter 4-20 – Special Events of the City of Austin Code of Ordinances and the Adopted Administrative Rules for implementation.

ACE partners include:

  • Arts, Culture, Music, and Entertainment (ACME)
  • Austin Resource Recovery (ARR)
  • Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
  • Development Services Department (DSD)
  • Economic Development Department (EDD)
  • Fire Department (AFD)
  • Parks and Recreation Department (PARD)
  • Police Department (APD)
  • Transportation & Public Works Department (TPW)
  • Other partner agencies

The Fiscal Year 2024-25 City of Austin budget maintains most existing ACE fees. For more information on fees for your event please contact specialevents@austintexas.gov.

Data Reporting

In compliance with the City of Austin's Special Events Ordinance, the Austin Center for Events maintains data reports for specific event information.
