Last night at 11p.m., I called 911 about a public disturbance. A man was acting irrationally and ominously approached me and my dog. I feared for my safety (and my dog's) and that of my fiancée upstairs. After laying face down in the street and telling me to call an ambulance, he then got up and started gesticulating and mumbling.

While I was on the phone, I heard sirens almost immediately, and two police units (and an EMS unit) showed up extremely quickly. I was amazed at how responsive the officers were, which offered me great comfort. In the meantime, the individual fled the scene, but due to the officers' quick action, they were able to catch him on the side street.

Please formally recognize these officers for defending public safety.
